Man arrested after stolen classic car found

A stolen muscle car has been recovered and a local man charged with a string of break-ins around town and Redcliff, Medicine Hat Police Service announced Tuesday.

Police say they were searching for a bright red 1973 Pontiac Firebird last week, and now say a search warrant served Sunday found the classic car, other stolen goods and a gun.

They say power tools and ATV tires were also found at a residence on the 100 block of 19th Street NE, as well as a bolt-action shot gun.

Randy Yaholnitsky, 35, is charged with theft over $5,000 as well as a fire arms offence and a breach of a firearms prohibition.
