Man charged with alleged break and enter at NE apartments

Early Wednesday morning police responded to a call regarding a break and enter at an apartment complex.

Medicine Hat Police Service were called to the crime in progress at the 100 block of First Street NE. A male had entered a locked apartment complex and was allegedly attempting to steal property from storage lockers belonging to tenants.

The suspect was reportedly observed on surveillance video and confronted by the building manger. The suspect fled the area on foot and was apprehended several blocks away by police.

A 41-year-old male was arrested and has been charged with break, enter and theft.
