Ad claiming added local measures was mistake

Despite some confusion over Facebook ads from the provincial government, COVID-19 measures announced for Medicine Hat last week have not changed.

The province took out sponsored Facebook ads on the YourAlberta page that stated Medicine Hat had to impose stricter measures. The post stated that Medicine Hat had to cancel team sports and dance classes until the end of the month – the same measures as in Calgary and Edmonton.

A spokesperson for Alberta Health told the News the ads were a mistake and that they had been pulled.
