The Medicine Hat Skateboard Association is hosting indoor SkateSkool sessions this winter.
Registration is open for a four-week session that begins Nov. 1.
The Nov. 1 session runs from Nov. 1-22 and will be held at the Bay3 Indoor Skate Park in the industrial area.
Parents are also able to register their kids for a four-week program running from Nov. 29 to Dec. 15.
If interested, kids can be signed up for all eight weeks at a discounted price.
The lessons run Sunday afternoons and last 50 minutes. Kids work with instructors to learn how to skateboard, and proper skatepark etiquette.
Interested parents can email medhatskate@gmail.com with their kid’s name, their name, their phone number and their preference between a 2 or 5 p.m. start.
All kids need are a skateboard and a helmet, but extras are available if needed.
The association is also planning for an all-girls session.
One session costs $50, both cost $90. Money can be sent to the above email with the password ‘skateboard’.
COVID protocols will be in place during the sessions.
