A confirmed case of COVID-19 in a student was announced late Monday at Roy Wilson Learning Centre. All close contacts to the case have been notified, according the a press release. The release also states that students and staff are isolating, but does not say how many. Brooks Students, staff and parents were informed of a positive case at Brooks Composite High School late Sunday. The infected individual was last on school grounds in the morning on Oct. 19. Through contact tracing, a small number of close contacts has been identified and will be notified. Families who have not heard from AHS are not considered close contacts. School is resuming as normal. Redcliff Around 3 p.m. Sunday, Prairie Rose School Division was notified by AHS about a positive case at Parkside School in Redcliff. Close contacts have been identified, with eight staff and 13 students now in isolation. Those who require isolation will keep up with schooling through online learning. College case A positive case of COVID-19 has also been identified at the Brooks Medicine Hat College campus. The individual is following public health directives and contact tracing is underway. AHS does not believe there is a high risk to the campus community. 18
