Cypress County’s top elected officials will remain in place through the final year of their term. Reeve Dan Hamilton and Deputy Reeve Richard Oster maintained the posts by acclamation during Tuesday’s annual organizational meeting held at the county offices in Dunmore. Media and the public are not able to attend council meetings in person due to pandemic protocols. Cypress County administrators did post photos on their website of the two men signing oaths of office that will carry through to the next municipal election. That will take place on Oct. 18, 2021 across the province as all local municipal positions are up for election following a four-year term. [Editor’s Note — This article has been updated from a previous version to denote that the positions were filled by acclamation.] 7
