Community Foundation of SE Alberta hands out $363K in emergency COVID support

The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta announced a total of $363,720 in grants through the Emergency Community Support Fund.

The local chapter of the Community Foundation is still accepting applications for the COVID-19 Response Fund for SE Alberta. Local charities and not-for-profits working with vulnerable populations are encouraged to apply.

CORE Association – $7,650;

Let’s Talk Science — $2,884;

Cypress View Foundation – $40,000;

Medicine Hat and District Food Bank – $37,182;

Medicine Hat YMCA – $40,000;

Good Samaritan Society – $10,000;

Crohn’s and Colitis Canada – $1,500;

The Kidney Foundation – $10,000;

Oyen United Church – $5,000;

Southeast Alberta Search and Rescue – $5,000;

Starlight Children’s Foundation – $6,275;

Hanna Volunteer Association – $5,000;

Newell Christian Counselling – $10,000;

Salvation Army – $42,818;

Canadian Cancer Society – $10,000;

Medicine Hat Library Board – $14,056;

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Medicine Hat and District – $14,056
