Prairie Gleaners Society will open vegetable drying again; by appointment booking only

The Prairie Gleaners Society will be returning to its business of preparing vegetables for dehydration starting Wednesday, however it will be operating by appointment only.

Prairie Gleaners made the announcement in a Friday release, adding it will be allowing only 15 people on site at a time – all of whom must wear gloves and masks.

“Please do not simply show up at the plant and expect to go to work,” reads the release. “Please call the plant at 403-526-5240 and leave a message, or talk to our plant manager, Ken. He will be able to tell you if we can accommodate you on that day, or if we are already at capacity.”

The release goes on to state that people who do not call in advance will be turned away if the facility is at capacity.
