Online seminars available for businesses looking to up their social media game

By Medicine Hat News on May 26, 2020.

With social distancing keeping many customers wary of going to stores, a handful of groups have come together to offer businesses a way to learn about using social media to keep in touch with them.

A series of 16 free online seminars began this month and can be accessed through the end of June.

Run by Jo(e) Media, they cover everything from basic use of Facebook for your business to data analysis.

“This social media series is an amazing opportunity for businesses to either launch or refine their social media presence in the midst of COVID-19,” Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce executive director Lisa Kowalchuk said in a press release.

The seminars are done live so viewers can ask questions, though past broadcasts are still available. APEX Southeast Alberta, the chamber, Community Futures Entre-Corp and Medicine Hat College worked together to make the series free, using the promo code Resilience.
