82-year-old driver caught doing 102 km/h in residential neighbourhood on Sunday

Medicine Hat Police Service stopped a driver travelling 102 km/h in a 50 zone in Crescent Heights on Sunday morning. The driver – an 82-year-old male – was charged with exceeding the speed limit along 20th Street NE and Hatcher Drive, and was given a mandatory court date to speak to the charge. “With an increase in both vehicular and pedestrian traffic this type of driving behaviour is both dangerous and unacceptable,” reads an MHPS media release. “Motorists are reminded that all roads within the City of Medicine Hat have a 50 km/h speed limit, unless otherwise posted.” 4-3
