A week ago the first bloom of The Daffodil Project flowering season emerged and now there are hundreds swaying in the breeze.

Len Mitzel Meadow has always been a sunny and sheltered location where daffodils flower first but there are plenty to see at Pierce Place and also at RE/MAX Medalta Meadow.

The Daffodil Project’ aims to beautify the area each spring and bring smiles to the faces of people travelling along the highway.

If you are out for a walk it is an ideal opportunity to enjoy the daffodils.

Pierce Place is near the Visitor Centre and teepee alongside the highway.

Len Mitzel Meadow is located south of the Trans-Canada Highway between the College and 13th Avenue overpasses.

RE/MAX Medalta Meadow is along the highway by the MH College sign, across the highway from Pierce Place.

The project has been suspended for two years to assess its long-term viability.
