‘Re-open economy’ protest in the Hat postponed due to low turnout

A local protest to re-open the economy – initially scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday outside the provincial building in downtown Medicine Hat – was rescheduled due to low turnout.

Event organizer Stephen Campbell said in a message to the News that a tentative makeup date has been set for May 2.

Campbell also stated in an earlier Facebook post that the event would follow all Alberta Health guidelines in regard to social distancing while peacefully protesting for a “safe opening” of the economy.
