Hat sits at 7 active cases

Alberta’s total case count for COVID-19 jumped to 1,648 on Sunday.

Despite the increase, Medicine Hat still sits at seven active cases of the virus.

Four people are marked as recovered in the city.

Cypress County now has five confirmed cases of the virus. All of the cases are marked as active on the government’s website.

The County of 40 Mile still has two active cases.

The City of Calgary has 412 active cases of COVID-19. Recovered cases sit at 447 for the city, while 32 people have died as a result of the virus.

The City of Edmonton has 270 total cases of the virus. Of these, 130 are active and 134 have recovered. Six people have died in Edmonton as a result of COVID-19.

The City of Red Deer has 13 active cases and 19 recoveries reported. Nobody has been reported to die in Red Deer from the virus.

The South zone has 31 cases of the virus total, which equals two per cent.

Four cases are in an unknown location as of Sunday.

A total of 63 per cent of all-time cases have been in the Calgary zone. Of the total cases, 48 per cent have been men.

There have been a total of 107 hospitalizations since the coronavirus outbreak. There have been a total of 34 ICU admissions since the outbreak. A total of 44 people have passed away.

Per 100 cases, on average, there are 6.5 hospitalizations, 2.1 ICU admissions and 2.7 fatalities.

The South zone has been a part of five per cent of the testing. There have been 3,806 tests done in the zone.
