City launches information phone line for resources during COVID-19

By Medicine Hat News on March 25, 2020.

The City of Medicine Hat launched its telephone information line on Tuesday morning to augment online resources for those in need of information about community support during the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The information line number is 403-529-8106. It will be operated by city staff Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“We want to be able to provide our community with current information about the resources and supports they need to stay healthy and well,” said Shona Dickie, superintendent of community support services with the City of Medicine Hat. “The information line, in addition to our online resources, will allow people to access information using the tools they are most comfortable with.”

Late last week, the city published on its website a comprehensive list of local agencies, their operational status and contact information, plus links to health authority information and the financial programs of the other levels of government.

That can be found on the city website (medicinehat.ca). Or here: https://medicinehat.ca/what-s-new/covid-19-updates
