Tourism Medicine Hat is reminding people that there are still things to do while social distancing during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The group released a bingo card on their social media pages Monday night that give people suggestions on what they can do during a safe trip out of the house.

“Right now, a lot of the bingo card is supporting local businesses,” she said. “Simple things like buying a gift card, getting pickup or delivery from different restaurants.

“A lot of different restaurants and cafes have options for ordering and picking up right now.”

On top of eating food from different places, Czibere says people are encouraged to safely go outdoors and to visit different parts of town.

“Safely social distancing is important right now, but people can still get outdoors,” she said. “Our amazing parks and trails are still around – people should walk a trail they’ve never seen.”

Czibere says disc golf is another great option to get outside for a bit.

“That’s something you can easily do with people you’re socially isolating with,” she said.

Czibere added that the Canalta Centre is doing online concerts which can be checked out. The public library has online resources. Gyms and yoga studios are doing virtual classes. Czibere also mentioned the Esplanade’s archives can be viewed online.

The bingo card can be found on the Tourism Medicine Hat Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Tourism Medicine Hat also has a list going on its website with pickup and delivery food options.
