Alleged drunk driver hits the ditch, causes $12K in damage to her vehicle

A woman accused of impaired driving caused $12,000 worth of damage to her vehicle Monday night. Around 10:15 p.m., police received a call about a single-vehicle accident on Industrial Avenue at Iron Avenue. The lone occupant of a 2018 Hyundai Sonata travelling eastbound on Industrial Avenue drove the vehicle into a ditch. She received minor injuries, but was charged on scene with driving impaired and exceeding 0.08 blood alcohol content. 5-4
