40-year-old man dies in single-vehicle collision on Trans-Canada

A 40-year-old male is dead following a single-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near the Box Springs Road exit Monday morning. The deceased was the vehicle’s sole occupant, police said in a 12:18 p.m. news release. As a result of the fatal collision, traffic was reduced to a single lane on the TCH for much of the day. By 3:42 p.m., police said they had cleared the scene, with both lanes eastbound and westbound open. 5-4
