Police are investigating a suspicious death after a deceased male was discovered on a rural road near Medicine Hat.
The Redcliff RCMP responded Monday around 11 a.m. to reports of a body found south of the city and east of Highway 3, according to a media release.
Responding officers determined the death to be suspicious and the investigation has been taken over by the Major Crimes Unit.
As of Tuesday afternoon, RCMP members – including the Forensic Identification Section – remained on scene to conduct an investigation.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
The RCMP says it will provide an update as soon as further information becomes available.
