Richmound looking for new mayor

Medicine Hat News The village of Richmound, Sask. is looking for a new mayor. A nomination day will be held in the village, located east of Hilda, about 100 kilometres northeast of Medicine Hat, on Wednesday. The vacancy opened on Oct. 31 following the resignation of former mayor Tom Tuchscherer. Potential candidates will need to file their paper work before 4 p.m. local time at the village office on Wednesday, Dec. 4. If required, a byelection would be held on Jan. 8, 2020 to fill the specific position of mayor on the three-person council. 7-6
