Walking into a restaurant with no pants on is usually a no-go.

Saturday, Earl’s turned a blind eye to help out a good cause.

The night marked the first ever Pants Off for Men’s Health event, which raised funds for the Medicine Hat and District Health Foundation

“We wanted to have a fun, unique event to bring people together for a good cause,” said organizer Ryan Kingsley. “As always, the community rallied behind us and came out to support us.”

Kingsley says there was no monetary goal with the event.

“We just wanted to break past even and we’ve done that already,” he said. “A big portion of what we raise will be from the silent auction.”

The night featured live music, food and drinks – with 60-80 people showing up for the event.

“The money we raise will specifically go towards men’s health,” he said. “We just want to thank everyone for the support.”

Kingsley says he is hoping to make this an annual event.
