Looks like pot store could be coming to Taber

By Medicine Hat News on September 24, 2019.

A Lethbridge-based cannabis retail chain is planning to expand to Taber – a town that once considered an outright ban on the sale of marijuana, but recently began an investment attraction campaign aimed at the once-illegal substance.

A current list of proposed retail licence applications shows Bridge Bud Supply, Ltd. made three more applications for locations in a proposed southwest Alberta network of stores first reported in late August by the Lethbridge Herald.

The independent retailer opened its first store on Mayor Magrath Drive in Lethbridge, and this summer announced expansion plans to Pincher Creek and Claresholm were underway.

The current list of proposed applications posted by provincial regulators show potential Bridge Bud locations in Vulcan, Fort Macleod and Taber, where the store would be located at 5014 46th Ave. The deadline for registering objections against the location is Oct. 1.
