Demo Daze at FLC opens up for applications

Applications are now being accepted for those who would like to exhibit at Demo Daze on Aug. 17 at the Family Leisure Centre from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Demo Daze will feature demonstrations and information booths for various sport and recreation organizations and businesses. The event provides an opportunity for the general public to try out, learn more and register for recreational opportunities within the community.

Demo Daze aims to support and build exposure for these organizations and provide a one-stop opportunity to try a variety of activities and register for them at the same time, said Terra Petryshyn, recreation program co-ordinator for parks and recreation with the city.

Organizations eligible to participate in Demo Daze are non-profit organizations for $25, and sport organizations, clubs, teams, associations, recreation organizations such as dance studios, acting, youth groups, and for-profit businesses related to sports, recreation, fitness, health and wellness for $40.
