Upcoming PTHAC meeting to feature FoM and THRIVE presentations

The public is invited to attend the Palliser Triangle Health Advisory Council meeting on Monday at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital in the meeting room on level seven.

The meeting starts at noon with at opportunity for public presentations at 12:10 p.m.

Items on the agenda include presentations by Friends of Medicare and THRIVE — Medicine Hat & Region strategy to end poverty and increase well being.

Executive leadership for Alberta Health Services’ south zone, which includes Medicine Hat, will be present.

Health advisory council members are volunteers who play an important role in supporting the strategic direction of AHS by engaging communities in a respectful, transparent and accountable manner. They work in partnership with AHS to ensure that services in the community are appropriate and responsive to needs.

There are 12 health advisory councils across Alberta. Each council has up to 15 volunteer public members who meet throughout the year with each other, and with AHS leaders, to discuss health-care priorities.
