Public invited to Ecole St. John Paull II School’s grand opening

The Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education is hosting the grand opening of Ecole St. John Paul II School on Monday.

The dual-track kindergarten-to-Grade 6 French and English immersion school serves 325 students, and is located in the Southlands neighbourhood.

A news release from the MHCBE described the school as “an innovative, state-of-the-art educational facility designed for collaborative learning.”

The release also touts the school’s environmental credentials, with its target of LEED Gold Certification.

The official ceremony begins at 1 p.m., followed by a cake and ribbon cutting at 2 p.m.
