Precautions urged after Bow Island truck theft Friday

The Bow Island RCMP is reminding residents following a truck theft of the importance of keeping vehicles locked and removing valuables.

Around 9 a.m. Friday, the detachment responded to a report of the theft of a 2017 grey Ford F-150 with licence plate BTP-7618 from Golfview Drive in Bow Island.

During the investigation, police spoke with several neighbours who reported their unlocked vehicles were also broken into.

Wallets, stereo speakers and a small amount of cash were reported stolen.

Police are investigating the incident, and anyone who sees the truck is urged to contact their local police detachment.
