Medicine Hat News St. Joseph’s Home is celebrating Covenant Health’s service over the past decade with a special event on Friday, and the public is invited to attend. A team of 20 people will ride motorcycles, walk and kayak from Bow Island in a provincial relay before arriving on the front steps of St. Joseph’s Home, 156 Third St. NE, at about 4 p.m. that day. There will be a baton arrival ceremony with speeches and a program. Contributing to a festival atmosphere there will be music, cake, and games on the lawn plus food trucks on site. There will also be tours of the Stations of the Cross brick murals by the artist James Marshall. The event will continue until about 7 p.m. St. Joseph’s Home became part of Covenant Health in 2011 building on a 155 year-history of the founding congregations of nuns who provided compassionate care and laid the foundation for health care in the province, said a press release. 7
