The government of Saskatchewan is touting $1.5 million in facility improvements in the coming year at parks in the province’s southwest.

The central block of Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park is scheduled to receive electrical expansion at Shady Pine campground as well as new digital sings.

Upgraded power to camper stalls at Douglas Provincial Park and Danielson Provincial Park are also slated to be installed before the beginning of the 2019 camping season. Both are located on Lake Diefenbaker.

A sewage lagoon at Douglas Provincial Park is also being improved.

A news release says the ministry responsible has allocated more than $12 million over five years to parks in the southwest region.
