Medicine Hat News Saturday’s Demo Daze, from 1-4 p.m. at the Family Leisure Centre, will feature booths from a variety of sport and recreation organizations in Medicine Hat. It will be an opportunity for the public to learn more and/or register for recreational opportunities. “A lot of the organized sport associations in Medicine Hat require City of Medicine Hat facilities to conduct their business, so their success contributes to our success,” says Jenny Styner, active living co-ordinator parks and recreation. “We can offer the community a one-stop opportunity to try a variety of activities and register for them at the same time.” Some demonstrations planned for the event include wheelchair basketball, pickleball, water polo, softball, basketball, curling, lawn bowling, karate, cheerleading and more. Some organizations will offer demonstrations only, while others will invite participation. Each organization will have an information/registration booth in the main lobby for the duration of the event. For more information please visit http://www.medicinehat.ca/demodaze. 8
