Riders for HALO’s fifth annual Fuel Booster Poker Run goes on July 21.
The run begins at the Irvine Hotel at 10 a.m. and will end up at Ralph’s Texas Bar & Steakhouse. Stops will be made at Eagle Valley, Richmound and Whiskey Creek in between.
The first hand (including three meals and a taxi) costs $30, supper and a taxi (no hand) $20 and additional hands and mystery punch, $10,
Tex Carriere of Riders for HALO says the group wants to support the local medical service as much as possible, noting the service doesn’t receive funding from the government.
Interest in the run has been growing. Carriere said there were fewer than 100 participants two years ago, but last year was blown away when more than 200 people took part.
“This year could be over 300 I think,” he said.
A silent and live auction, door prizes and 50/50 will all be part of the day. A raffle, for which the grand prize is a 2018 Harley Davidson Street Glide, will also take place.
