Medicine Hat police investigating suspicious death

Police are investigating the weekend death of a Medicine Hat man as suspicious. Investigators from the MHPS Major Crime Section are trying to determine whether the death of the 38-year-old city man came as a result of injuries suffered during one or more altercations he was involved in around 2 a.m. on June 21 near the Cecil Hotel. The male sought treatment twice in the following two days and was eventually transported to hospital in Calgary, where he died from his injuries. Police were notified of his death on June 24.
