Fire restriction in effect in Cypress County

A fire restriction is in effect in Cypress County. The county posted on Twitter Monday morning. The country tweeted that “Fire permits may be issued once an inspection has been completed by the Fire Chief or Deputy Fire Chief” and “Special requests for permits must prove that a controlled burn is necessary to the livelihood of the permit holder.” A high of 15 C and winds of 20 km/h are forecast by Environment Canada for the Medicine Hat region today. Tuesday’s forecast high is 23 C with winds of 30 km/h and gusting to 50 km/h. 4-3
