Medicine Hat News Redcliff RCMP have arrested two people in connection with a robbery that took place in Swift Current. RCMP report that on March 14, the Redcliff Integrated Traffic unit was patrolloing Highway 1 near Range Road 101 in Cypress County when they observed a motor vehicle parked off the highway with two occupants inside. Due to a recent increase in rural property crimes in the county, a query was conducted on the Saskatchewan plated vehicle and it was discovered the vehicle was associated with a recent robbery that occurred in Swift Current earlier that morning. There were descriptors of the vehicle, its occupants and damage caused when they fled the scene, which all matched the vehicle before them. Redcliff RCMP members detained and arrested both occupants based on the robbery, and discovered they were both breaching conditions of a previous release from Manitoba.
