The countdown is on and only a few tickets are left, as the sixth annual Snowflake Soiree is set for Feb. 3.

The annual gala fundraiser raises funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association of Alberta Southeast Region.

“It’s a really fun evening,” said Breanne Mellen, community helpers program co-ordinator for the CMHA, noting that all the funds raised from the evening stay in Medicine Hat and help cover the costs of running local programming and supports.

“We have a wide variety of programs,” said Mellen. “A youth mental health support worker, branch senior support, community helpers, suicide prevention program, financial administration and education program and permanent supportive housing house.”

Funds raised are divvied up among these, and also help to cover administrative costs.

Tickets, $85 each, are available for purchase online at http://www.snowflakesoiree2018.eventbrite.ca. Only a handful of tickets are left.

Included in the price is dinner, while there will also be a live and silent auction during the evening. Entertainment for the evening is comedian Kelly Taylor, while there will also be games throughout the night.
