A Medicine Hat woman entered guilty pleas Tuesday to drug trafficking charges that stem from 2016.

Sentencing for Kristy Miller, who remains in custody, has been adjourned to April 19 so a pre-sentencing report and Gladue report can be put together.

According to the agreed statement of facts read into the record, Miller came to the police’s attention in June 2016 when they were investigating another individual, and on his phone found Facebook messages that spoke of him purchasing drugs from Miller, who was working to sell methamphetamine with two others.

Police used this information to contact Miller, and arranged two separate undercover purchases of meth from her — 2.68 grams for $180, and 2.2 grams for $180 in total. Police then arrested her on Sept. 28.

Miller entered guilty pleas to two counts of trafficking meth, and a breach of a peace bond.
