The Stampede Grounds were full of Christmas spirit this weekend thanks to the annual Something For Everyone Christmas market.

This year’s market showcased more than 140 vendors, and saw between 3-4,000 Hatters walk through the doors.

“It’s been crazy so far,” said organizer Monica Kallis. “This is how we wrap up every year. We have all of our Christmas shoppers and our Christmas vendors in one place. We have 144 booths this year, and had 132 last year. So we’re excited to be even bigger this year. There was a big waiting list of vendors that wanted in, and we’ve used up all of the space this year.”

The markets will be entering its seventh year in 2018, and Kallis says people just seem to love them.

“Every market we seem to get more and more people,” she said. “Jobs are still down low in Medicine Hat, so having a free market every month really helps a lot of people get their shopping done, especially around Christmas. Money can be tight, but you don’t have to pay to come to these. It’s what we’ve wanted to offer from the start, and people are really liking the markets.”

The Something For Everyone markets will be back up in April for the first show of 2018 on the 14th and 15th.
