More than 100 Mr. Lube locations across Canada are offering free oil changes to veterans on Nov. 10.

The Medicine Hat location is extending the offer to include current and veteran members of the Canadian and British Armed Forces that day.

The program began in Kelowna, B.C., in 2014, and expanded across the province in 2015. It’s now going nationwide due to great success.

“The women and men who choose to serve Canada deserve our respect,” said David Ticknor, a Mr. Lube franchisee in Vancouver in a press release. “They have earned it through years of service to the ideals and values that make up Canadian society.

“It’s the least we can do to show our appreciation and thank some of the most honourable and deserving individuals in the provinces.”

To receive a free warranty-approved oil change at Mr. Lube on Nov. 10, veterans or current service members must provide their Canadian Service ID or Canadian veteran license plate.
