Medicine Hat News A stalled project to widen and repave Highway 61 in the extreme southeast is back up and running, but will need to be completed in 2018, according to Alberta Transport officials. Upgrades on the roadway, running east and west from Etzikom, were begun in 2016 but were shut down as work proceeded without proper permits under the Water Act. Those were issued in August, and work is again underway. A ministry spokesperson said the delay has added about $200,000 to the original $10.7 million budget. 6
