Police say they are investigating suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. One man is facing arson and aggravated assault charges after a Friday fire on Bridge Street.
Police, fire and emergency services responded to the 1100 block of Bridge Street after 6 p.m., and one woman was taken to the hospital with, “significant burns,” according to on-scene police.
The on-duty staff sergeant said Sunday that the investigation is still ongoing, and no more information will be released at this time, but did confirm the charges to the man.
Police did not have an update on the woman.
