The City of Medicine Hat and the Esplanade are working together to present the Victoria Project on Oct. 23, a show and series of workshops for seniors.

The dance-theatre production is geared toward those looking to maintain their quality of life in sickness or aging.

“This unique blend of dance and theatre with its humour and compassion creates an innovative way of addressing old age, vulnerability, loss and death through a positive image,” reads a news release from the city.

The project is also hosting two workshops for seniors, family and caregivers, which will be held on Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The first is focused on enhancing non-verbal communication skills for family and caregivers.

The afternoon session concerns physical movement for seniors, with the goal of enhancing energy and building confidence.

Tickets for the event can be purchased for $10 at Tixx.ca. Those who want to register for the workshops can call 403-529-8307.
