Medicine Hat News Two elderly motorists from Saskatchewan are dead after their car was slammed into by a truck at a highway intersection near Oyen on Wednesday morning. The RCMP say that a car approached Highway 41 southeast of the town on Secondary Highway No. 570 at about 9:35 a.m. and stopped before proceeding. When it entered the driving lane, the Chevrolet was struck by an oncoming Ford F-350 pickup truck heading north. Police say both occupants of the Cavalier, an 81-year-old male passenger and 80-year-old female driver from Purdue, Sask., died in the collision. The driver of the pick-up, a 40-year-old man, sustained minor injuries. An RCMP collision analyst is assisting with the investigation to identify any contributing factors in the collision. 6
