One man was taken to hospital Friday afternoon after a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

At about 12:15 p.m. a man on rollerblades was struck by a vehicle at the corner of Fifth Avenue NE and Dundee Street, near Alexandra Middle School.

S/Sgt. Jason Graham said later Friday the investigation is ongoing and added the pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for precautionary reasons.

Meanwhile, the police are reporting no injuries from an accident Friday morning when a 55-year-old female making a right turn onto Maple Avenue from a gas bar turned too sharply and struck a bus shelter.

Damage to the shelter was $2,000 while damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
