Medicine Hat News A film and panel discussion about palliative care will be held today at Medicine Hat Public Library at 7 p.m. The event, organized by Palliser Friends of Medicare, will include the screening of a film: Being Mortal — Medicine and What Matters in the End, which is based on a book by Dr. Atul Gawande. A discussion, with panelists Dr. W.A. Ruzycki, Richard Gregory a Medicine Hat College instructor on Death and Dying, and a representative from Carmel Hospice. PFOM would like to see a conversation about our healthcare system and how we view what really matters to patients and their families at the end of life. 6
