A vehicle and pickup truck are seen at the site of a serious motor vehicle collision at the corner of Parkview Drive and 12th Street. N.E. around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon. An 18 year-old woman from Medicine Hat was killed in the collision. A 25-year-old man from Medicine Hat is facing numerous charges including dangerous driving causing death.
UPDATE: Police has revised the information in their original report. The first collision happened at Division Avenue, the second at Parkview Drive.

Medicine Hat police are confirming a pair of related motor vehicle collisions in Crescent Heights this afternoon.
One accident happened at the corner of 12th Street N.E. and Parkview Drive while other happened at the corner of 12th Street N.E. and Division Avenue.
According to police the driver of a truck involved in the collision at 12th Street N.E. and Parkview Dr N.E. fled the scene and caused other collisions along 12th Street N.E. between Parkview Drive and Division Avenue. The male driver abandoned the vehicle and was arrested a short time later.
A four-door sedan with significant damage to its driver’s side and a grey pickup truck with front-end damage were seen at the Parkview Drive site. A mini-van was flipped on its side at the Division Avenue collision, next to a second mini-van that suffered damage to its front end on the driver’s side.
The investigation is ongoing and motorists are asked to avoid both areas. There is not access to Parkview Drive between Prairie Drive and Altawana Drive N.E., 12th Street N.E. is blocked at 7th Avenue and there is limited traffic flow on Division Avenue N.
