Kiwanis Park basketball getting upgrade

Work to restore the basketball court at Kiwanis Central Park has begun and is slated to last between four to eight weeks, the city’s parks department said Friday.

The park, located near 11th Street on the Southeast Hill, will remain open for the duration, but heavy equipment and workers will be on site at the court in the park’s southwest corner.

The restoration will significantly improve the court, stated the release.
