Medicine Hat News The Medicine Hat Police Service has charged one man after responding to what seemed like an overdose call. Around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, the MHPS responded to a suspected overdose call from the 2500 block of 22 Ave. SE. Upon police arrival with EMS, the man was checked medically and cleared by EMS. Police on scene discovered the vehicle which the man occupied was stolen from a residence in the city. The suspect was taken into police custody and properly identified. It was then confirmed this same man was wanted for a break and enter on Carswell Rd SE which had occurred August 21st where numerous home electronics were stolen. The 22-year-old now awaits a Judicial Interim Release hearing on the following charges: -Possession of Stolen Property (vehicle) -Break Enter and theft 8
