Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada hosting fundraiser walk

A fundraiser to support those affected by blood cancers will take place Sept. 16 at Echo Dale park.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada will hold its first community walk — Light The Night Walk — to raise money for blood cancer research.

The walkers participating will be carrying illuminated lanterns in support of those who have been personally touched by the disease. People wearing red will show their support, patients and survivors will wear white and those in gold will do so in memory of a loved one.
