Two people have been charged after police seized more than $33,000 worth of methamphetamine in Medicine Hat.
ALERT’s Medicine Hat organized crime team made the seizure on May 26 with the assistance of Medicine Hat Police and RCMP investigators following a short-term investigation.
ALERT seized 325 grams of meth, along with one gram of heroin, 3.5 grams cocaine, 100 oxycodone pills, a replica handgun, a loaded prohibited magazine, and ammunition.
Paul Rasmussen, 45, is charged with four counts of drug trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, five counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of proceeds of crime, and nine weapon related offences.
Siofean Coderre, 43, is charged with four counts of drug trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking, five counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of proceeds of crime, and seven weapon charges. Coderre is also charged with nine breach offences related to previous arrests.
