One motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after colliding with a truck Sunday morning.

The collision happened around 11:45 a.m. at 12 St. NE and Parkview Drive, after a truck made an unsafe left turn into the path of the oncoming motorcycle, according to a Medicine Hat Police Services press release.

The rider suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported by EMS to the hospital for further care.

The driver of the truck has been charged for making an unsafe left-hand turn, according to the release.

The MHPS added, “Police would like to take this opportunity to remind the motoring public that with the summer weather, motorcycles are out on the roads and extra attention for these seasonal vehicles should be exercised to avoid such incidents as this today,” at the bottom of the release.
