Two people were taken to the hospital Sunday evening after a two-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near 1 St. SW.

For a little more than one hour traffic was slowed due to lane closures in both the east and west bound lanes.

Staff Sgt. Darcy Fox says the police do not believe alcohol to be a factor in the accident, but added that the investigation is still ongoing.

Traffic has been cleared and the highway is running normally.
