Police respond to explosives call, asking public to avoid 600 block of 6 St. SW

The Medicine Hat Police Service is asking Medicine Hatters to avoid the 600 block of 6 St. SW.

Officers, along with the Explosives Disposal Unit responded to a call regarding found explosives and have secured the area.

The MHPS says the scene has been contained and there is no immediate danger to the public, but is still asking people to avoid there area for several hours.

The MHPS says there will be no criminal investigation.
